With Darrell Wallace Jr. competing in his first full-time NASCAR Cup Series season, can we expect great things out of the rookie?

A new era has arrived in NASCAR, one that brings a fresh generation of stock car drivers with goals to outdo the champions and stars that have come before them for the last decade.

Some come in the form of familiar names like Chase Elliott and Ryan Blaney, whose fathers blazed the NASCAR circuits before they did and others like Erik Jones and Daniel Suarez have blazed their own trails and made their own names to get to the top level of racing.

With these new faces and names comes a new problem as well in NASCAR: lack of sponsorship.

Rejuvenation in a sport is common, as with one generation ending, one must begin. But with premier drivers retiring, the sponsors that have stuck with them for years have to decide whether to continue with NASCAR or move on along with their drivers.

Either new relationships will need to be formed or new companies will need to be brought into the fold.
