Austin Dillon

The bar has been set for Austin Dillon…by himself going on record to state that this season will be Championship 4 or bust for his team.

From NASCAR.com:

"“We got our win, and that was huge. That was one goal I had last year. Going into next year, (Championship 4) is my goal.”"

I love the confidence out of a guy who desperately needed some prior to his first race victory, but coming off a season where he only notched four top 10 finishes, it doesn’t look promising that he will make it to the Championship 4 in the 2018 season.

New year, new you, though, right?

Dillon has the talent to make it in the Cup Series despite what his record has shown for his first four seasons. His domination in the lower series is proof enough of that. The #3 team and RCR as a whole have just been unable to get the Cup Series figured out since the departure of Kevin Harvick prior to the 2014 season.
