Formula E: Team Power Rankings after Mexico City – Techeetah on top
By Asher Fair
Five of the 12 races on the 2017-2018 Formula E schedule are now in the books. Which teams rank where in the team power rankings?
Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler’s Daniel Abt won his first race of the 2017-2018 Formula E season by taking the checkered flag in the Mexico City ePrix at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City, Mexico.
The win was also Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler’s first victory of the season, and they are now the fourth different team to win a race through five races in the 2017-2018 campaign. Abt himself is the fourth different driver to win a race so far this season.
When we introduced our new power rankings formulas for the NASCAR Cup Series, IndyCar and Formula One, we were not planning on using them to create team or driver power rankings for Formula E.

However, these formulas work perfectly with Formula E, so our plan is for this edition of Formula E Team Power Rankings to be the first of many editions of Formula E Team Power Rankings.
These power rankings are based solely on a mathematical formula, which you can see here, that is derived from the Formula E Power Rankings mathematical formula. Only full-time teams that consist at least one full-time driver are included in these rankings, and only the full-time drivers are factored into how the teams rank.
While there are spots in these rankings labeled “Last Rank” and “Trend”, these cannot be filled in this edition of the rankings since these rankings were not previously done for Formula E teams.
Without further ado, here are the formulated Formula E Team Power Rankings after the Mexico City ePrix at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez.
