Schmidt Peterson Motorsports look poised to have a solid season. If James Hinchcliffe’s consistency can improve, he may be able to win multiple races in a year for the first time since the 2013 season. Robert Wickens, a close friend of Hinchcliffe, is set to make his IndyCar debut in his rookie season this year for the team. While he won’t be expected to win right away, he should certainly be an upgrade from Mikhail Aleshin, who drove full-time for the team before they released him toward the end of the 2017 season.. Dale Coyne Racing will only have one full-time driver in the 2018 season. That driver, however, is four-time Champ Car champion Sebastien Bourdais, who proved last season before being sidelined with injuries that he sustained in a qualifying crash for the Indianapolis 500 that he still has what it takes to compete to win the title. It will be interesting to see how the team will perform with the new universal aero kit since they were so strong early on in the 2017 season.. Dale Coyne Racing. Honda. DALE COYNE RACING . #5

RAHAL LETTERMAN LANIGAN RACING . #4. Expect Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing to make a push at winning the championship yet again in the 2018 season  like they have in each of the last three seasons with Graham Rahal as their lone driver. With Takuma Sato set to return to the team for the first time since the 2012 season as the team’s second driver, expect him to have a strong season following a career year with Andretti Autosport in 2017, and expect Rahal to benefit greatly from having a teammate to provide extra data..
