#3 through #1

CHIP GANASSI RACING . #3. After a rough 2017 season, expect Chip Ganassi Racing to bounce back in 2018. The team’s most successful days have come as a two-car full-time operation, which is what they are set to be this season for the first time since 2010. The last three seasons during which they have run just two full-time entries, which were the 2008, 2009 and 2010 seasons, they won the championship and neither of their two drivers ever finished lower than 4th place in the standings.. Chip Ganassi Racing. Honda

ANDRETTI AUTOSPORT . #2. Andretti Autosport have been extremely fast at certain tracks in recent years, especially the superspeedways and Indianapolis Motor Speedway in particular, but they have struggled at others. With the new universal aero kits and a four-car full-time lineup, the largest in the sport, led by Indianapolis 500 champions Alexander Rossi and Ryan Hunter-Reay, expect this team to win early and often in the 2018 season even on tracks that they have struggled at in recent years.. Andretti Autosport. Honda

Chevrolet. TEAM PENSKE . #1. While they are set to operate as a three-car full-time team as opposed to a four-car full-time team for the first time since the 2014 season this season, don’t expect Team Penske to skip a beat. While the new universal aero kits may level the playing field and the competition may be a little bit closer, expect this team’s recent dominance to translate to yet another season of them ahead of the rest of the field. After all, three of the last four series champions are driving for them.. Team Penske
