NASCAR: Driver Power Rankings after Las Vegas – Kevin Harvick climbs
By Asher Fair
Three races of the 36-race 2018 NASCAR Cup Series season are now in the rearview mirror. How do the driver power rankings look?
For the second race in a row, Kevin Harvick drove his #4 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford to victory lane, doing so this past week in the Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, Nevada after doing so last week in the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Georgia.
Following his disappointing 31st place finish in the Daytona 500, which came as a result of a crash, are two consecutive wins enough to catapult Harvick to the top of the NASCAR Driver Power Rankings just like they catapulted him to the top of the championship standings?
The standings have had a different leader after each race so far this season. Ryan Blaney was the leader after Daytona, Joey Logano was the leader after Atlanta, and Harvick is now the leader.
Up until this point, the NASCAR Driver Power Rankings have had a different leader after each race so far as well. Austin Dillon was the leader after Daytona and Denny Hamlin was the leader after Atlanta. Did this trend continue after Las Vegas?
Here are the updated NASCAR Driver Power Rankings following the Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas.
NOTE: Only full-drivers drivers are included in these rankings, which are based on a mathematical formula.
