Kyle Busch is close to his first win of 2018

In a great marketing move by the Wrigley Company, Kyle Busch drove a Skittles “Sweet Heat” car this past Sunday. Busch must be eating some of the “Sweet Heat” Skittles because he is starting to heat up on the track. He has had two consecutive runner-up finishes, putting him in the right direction going forward.

Aside from a 25th place finish after trouble at Daytona, Busch has had a good start to the 2018 season. With a 7th place finish at Atlanta and two 2nd place finishes at Las Vegas and Phoenix, it’s safe to say that Busch is close to earning his first win in 2018. He is a safe bet to win at Auto Club Speedway, a track at which he has won three times in his career.

The start/finish line is moving

Dont worry, it isn’t moving very far. In fact, it’s just going down the street a little bit. In an effort to create better racing, most notably at the start finish line, ISM Raceway will be moving the start/finish line closer to where turn two currently sits. We fans will get to see the new track format in November for the final race of the round of 8 in the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs.

If you’re a team aiming for a win to get into the Championship 4, this move doesn’t mean you have to erase everything you know about the track. Quite honestly, it doesn’t change much of anything, really. However, I am excited to see if the change made will create more exciting finishes or if it will just be business as usual.
