After each of the first four races of the 2018 IndyCar season, the leader of the championship standings has changed. How do the current driver power rankings look?

Josef Newgarden became the first driver to win multiple races in the 2018 IndyCar season when he won the Honda Grand Prix of Alabama at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama.

In addition to his win at Barber in the fourth race of the season, Newgarden also won the second race of the season at ISM Raceway in Avondale, Arizona. He is also the only driver who has not finished a single race outside of the top 8 so far this season, and he has not finished a single race outside of the top 7.

The two other drivers who have won one race each so far this season are Dale Coyne Racing’s Sebastien Bourdais, who won the season opener on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida and Andretti Autosport’s Alexander Rossi, who won the third race of the season on the streets of Long Beach, California.

Rossi and Bourdais sit behind Newgarden, who leads the championship standings, in 2nd and a 3rd place tie in the standings, respectively. Bourdais is tied with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing’s Graham Rahal for 3rd, and he has the tiebreaker over Rahal thanks to his win in St. Petersburg.
