Alfa Romeo Sauber

MARCUS ERICSSON. #9. . No. 9. Alfa Romeo Sauber, Ferrari

Marcus Ericsson was brought back to Sauber this season despite the fact that he had not finished a race in the top 10 since the 2015 season. He finished in ninth place in the second race of the 2018 season for his highest result in nearly three years, and he tied his second highest career Formula 1 result in doing so. With Sauber seeming to be slightly improved in general and Ericsson seeming to take advantage of that, expect to see him back with the team in the 2019 season.

ANTONIO GIOVINAZZI. #36. . No. 36. Alfa Romeo Sauber, Ferrari

Charles Leclerc is a driver who many teams and fans view as a future Formula 1 champion, so he will likely be promoted from Sauber to another team in the 2019 season. Seeing as how Ferrari pushed for both him and Antonio Giovinazzi to be hired by Sauber this season to effectively create a Ferrari B-team, it would not be surprising to see Sauber hire Giovinazzi to replace Leclerc in the 2019 season. After all, he did have a strong run for the team in his first career Formula 1 race in Australia last season as the replacement driver for Pascal Wehrlein, and he test drove for Haas and Ferrari, the other two Ferrari teams, last season as well.
