2018 Indy 500: Driver power rankings

#33 and #32
Conor Daly ended up bumping his way back into the field in Saturday’s qualifying session, and he was not on the bubble when the session came to an end. However, a disappointing run in Sunday’s qualifying session caused him to claim the 33rd and final starting position on the grid. His history in the Indy 500 isn’t great, as he has only finished the race once in four attempts, and he did so in 22nd place back in 2013. He could struggle in the race on Sunday.
Jack Harvey started in 27th place and finished in 31st in his first career Indy 500 attempt last year. He finished Saturday’s qualifying session in 27th, but he ended up qualifying in 31st in Sunday’s qualifying session. He could very well struggle in the race once again just like he did last year when his team, Michael Shank Racing, had a partnership with Andretti Autosport, the team that won the race. Schmidt Peterson Motorsports, the team with which Meyer Shank Racing have sponsorship this year, have not had much speed so far leading up to the race, so it won’t be easy for Harvey on Sunday.
