With the fifth road or street course race of the 2018 IndyCar season having been completed, how do the sport’s 21 full-time road and street course drivers stack up against one another?

Scott Dixon won the fifth road or street course race of the 2018 IndyCar season in his #9 Chip Ganassi Racing Honda. That race, the first race of the Chevrolet Dual in Detroit, was held on the 14-turn, 2.35-mile temporary street circuit on Belle Isle in Detroit, Michigan.

Dixon became the fifth different driver to win a road or street course race through five road or street course races so far this season. In doing so, he delivered Chip Ganassi Racing both their first overall win and first win in a road or street course race in 2018.

Dixon’s victory made him the third different Honda driver to win a race so far this season, and it made him the third different Honda driver to win a road or street course race so far this season as well.

In fact, three different Honda drivers have won the three street course races so far this season, as two different Chevrolet drivers and no Honda drivers have won the two road course races that have been contested so far in 2018.

Honda drivers have undoubtedly been dominant in the street course races so far this season, and they have actually been between than the Chevrolet drivers as a whole in the road course races as well despite the fact that they have not won either of the two that have been contested this year.
