The NASCAR Cup Series cars fly into Michigan International Speedway this weekend! Find out who you’ll see up front at the end of 400 miles in the Irish Hills!
High speeds and high stakes! It’s time for Michigan, friends! This weekend, the NASCAR Cup Series heads to one of the fastest tracks on the schedule, Michigan International Speedway. As teams roll into the Irish Hills, I’m here to roll out the predictions for this week’s FireKeepers Casino 400!
Enough with the small talk. Let’s throw out some big time predictions!
#5 – Kyle Larson finishes in the top three
Kyle Larson has won the last three Cup Series events at the two-mile facility in the Irish Hills. Larson, who scored his first career win at Michigan in 2016, continued his path to the top of the Cup Series garage by sweeping both 400-mile events at the track last season.
Now, Larson looks to shut up Chevrolet critics by being the first bow tie to find victory lane since Austin Dillon did so in the Daytona 500 to open up the season. I’m not confident enough to predict another Larson victory on Sunday, but I do believe the driver of the #42 Chip Ganassi Racing Chevrolet will be a top finisher once again at Michigan.
Larson has showcased speed all season, and this weekend’s race is a virtual lock to feature him up front. If you happen to play fantasy NASCAR, make sure you lock in ‘Young Money’ on your roster.
