NASCAR Xfinity Series: 2018 LTi Printing 250 results – Austin Dillon wins
By Asher Fair
Austin Dillon won a rain-shortened LTi Printing 250 at Michigan International Speedway to claim his first victory of the 2018 NASCAR Xfinity Series season.
In his fourth race of the 2018 NASCAR Xfinity Series, Richard Childress Racing’s Austin Dillon claimed his first Xfinity Series victory of the season and his ninth career Xfinity Series victory by winning the rain-shortened LTi Printing 250 at Michigan International Speedway.
Dillon won the race, which was scheduled to last for 125 laps but only lasted for 91 laps around the four-turn, 2.0-mile Michigan International Speedway oval in Brooklyn, Michigan as a result of rain, in his #3 Chevrolet under caution after he started back in 13th place. He led 18 laps of the race.
The race featured a total of 14 lead changes among nine drivers. Aside of Dillon, eight other drivers led at least one lap of the race. Those drivers were Daniel Hemric, Ryan Reed, Paul Menard, race polesitter Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick, Kaz Grala and Alex Bowman and Elliott Sadler.

Busch led more laps of the race than anybody else in the field, as he led 29 laps after starting from the pole position. He also won the stage one, but he could only manage to finish in sixth place. Sadler won stage two, but he could only manage to finish in 30th.
The race also featured a total of 10 caution flag periods for 37 laps, meaning only 54 of the race’s 91 laps (59.34%) were run under green flag conditions. Of the 40 drivers who started the race, 31 finished it. Of the 31 drivers who finished it, 30 did so on the lead lap.
The LTi Printing 250 was the 13th race of the 26-race 2018 NASCAR Xfinity Series regular season and the 33-race season, and it was the ninth race in which full-time NASCAR Cup Series drivers were able to drive. Of those nine races, eight of them have now been won by full-time Cup Series drivers. Seven different full-time Cup Series drivers have accounted for those eight victories.
