Race week number 16 of 2018 takes the NASCAR Cup Series to Sonoma Raceway for the Toyota/Save Mart 350. Here are the five drivers most likely to win.

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series has reached the first of three road course races on the 2018 schedule. That race is the Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway. The battle for playoff positions is starting to heat up with the number races left in the regular season starting to dwindle. Including this Sunday’s race at Sonoma, there are two road course races left in the regular season, which opens the door for any driver to sneak in a win.

Drivers and their teams have had a week off from action following a rain-shortened race at Michigan International Speedway almost two weeks ago. Clint Bowyer took home the checkered flag for the second time in 2018 after holding off teammate Kevin Harvick before rain would spoil the day. Fortunately, this weekend’s is looking much better weather-wise. Temperatures are supposed to be in the mid-80s with little to no cloud cover. Qualifying on Saturday is supposed to be under 98-degree sunlight. It will be interesting to see if any overheating issues come into play this weekend.

This weekend, the Cup Series ditches the ovals for a few extra turns at Sonoma. Those who don’t watch because all the drivers do is make left turns will have to look away to avoid major confusion. Road course races frequently provide us with late excitement and a few surprises. Here are the five drivers most likely to win the Toyota/Save Mart 350 this Sunday.
