Clint Bowyer

Why not make it two in a row for the teammate of Kevin Harvick and the man who is the most recent winner in the NASCAR Cup Series? Clint Bowyer is coming off of a win two weekends ago at Michigan International Speedway and will look to make it two in a row at Sonoma Raceway. When drivers have gotten hot in 2018, they have tended to to stay that way and string together wins. Could Bowyer get win number three this weekend? Absolutely.

If the 2017 race at Sonoma Raceway was any indication of whether Bowyer can hang with Harvick this weekend, then I would say we’re in for a treat. Bowyer is better in 2018 and was able to manage a second place finish at Sonoma last year. A win on Sunday would be Bowyer’s second career victory at Sonoma. He was able to find victory lane at the track in 2012 while driving for Michael Waltrip Racing.

The 2018 season has essentially been a revival season for Bowyer. We’re 15 races into the season and he has already accumulated two victories to date. The way 2018 is going for any winning driver may indicate that Bowyer is the favorite to win at Sonoma. Both Harvick and Kyle Busch are the two drivers who have found victory in consecutive races so far this season. If Bowyer has recovered from the week off, you can likely expect to see his name at the top of the leaderboard.
