For the first time ever, the NASCAR Xfinity Series is set to race on the Charlotte Motor Speedway roval. The length of that race has been confirmed.

The second of two visits to Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina on the 2018 NASCAR Xfinity Series schedule is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 29. That visit is set to include the second race of the first round, the round of 12, of the Xfinity Series playoffs, and that race is set to be the first ever Xfinity Series race on the Charlotte Motor Speedway roval.

The Charlotte Motor Speedway roval includes the track’s interior road course and parts of the track’s four-turn, 1.5-mile (2.414-kilometer) oval. The first race of the season at the track was held on Memorial Day Saturday. That race, the Alsco 300, was held on just the oval track. The roval is a 17-turn, 2.28-mile (3.669-mile) course.

The Xfinity Series playoff race at Charlotte Motor Speedway was previously a 300-mile race known as the Drive for the Cure 300, but it has been shortened as a result of the fact that it is now set to be held on the track’s roval as opposed to the track’s oval.

The race has now been billed as a 200-kilometer race, and it has been named the Drive for the Cure 200 presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina. It is scheduled to be a 55-lap race. The first two stages of the race are scheduled to last for 15 laps each, while the third and final stage is scheduled to last for 25 laps.

At 55 laps in length, the Drive for the Cure 200 has an official length of 125.40 miles (201.795 kilometers), making it by far the shortest of the four road course races on the 2018 schedule.

The 82-lap race around the eight-turn 2.454-mile (3.949-kilometer) Watkins Glen International in Watkins Glen, New York is scheduled to be a 201.228-mile (323.818-kilometer) race. The 75-lap race at the 13-turn, 2.258-mile (3.634-kilometer) Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio is scheduled to be a 169.35-mile (272.55-mile) race.

The 45-lap race around the 14-turn, 4.048-mile (6.515-kilometer) Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin is scheduled to be a 182.16-mile (293.175-kilometer) race. All three of these road course races are scheduled to take place in August.
