#5 through #1

#5. Many sports refer to home-field advantage for the home team. Kentucky Speedway supplied Ben Rhodes with a home track advantage. He led 38 laps of the race and finished the night in victory lane. The win catapulted Rhodes into the 2018 Truck Series playoffs. With the victory, he will set his sights on another trophy: the championship trophy.. No. 41, ThorSport Racing. Ford, LW: 7. BEN RHODES

Chevrolet, LW: 5. JUSTIN HALEY. #4. Despite his win at Gateway Motorsports Park, Justin Haley has yet to officially clinch his first career Truck Series playoff berth. Fortunately for him, not once under NASCAR’s current playoff format has a race winner not made the playoffs. Haley finished the race at Kentucky Speedway as the last driver on the lead lap in 10th place. He only has five playoff points, so he needs to add to that number if he wants to contend for the 2018 Truck Series championship.. No. 24, GMS Racing

#3. Noah Gragson won the pole for the race at Kentucky Speedway as well as the race’s second stage, and he led the most laps of the race. However, he finished in eighth place. His ability to be in the top five or so throughout a race bodes well for a championship run. Winning stages and races will definitely improve his odds of advancing to the Championship 4 at Homestead-Miami Speedway in November.. No. 18, Kyle Busch Motorsports. Toyota, LW: 3. NOAH GRAGSON

#2. Brett Moffitt finished two laps down at Kentucky Speedway. He secured sponsorship for the race at Eldora Speedway from iRacing, and he will look to make that sponsor proud. The last time he brought a new sponsor onboard his truck, he ended the race in victory lane at Chicagoland. He has stated that the #16 Toyota is still not sponsored for the upcoming race at Bristol Motor Speedway. A good run at Eldora may convince a company to sponsor the truck at Bristol.. No. 16, Hattori Racing Enterprises. Toyota, LW: 2. BRETT MOFFITT

No. 21, GMS Racing. Chevrolet, LW: 1. JOHNNY SAUTER. #1. Johnny Sauter is on cruise control for the remainder of the Truck Series regular season. While he finished two laps down at Kentucky, he accumulated stage points and remains the points leader. Even though he won his qualifying race at Eldora in 2014, Sauter has admitted that he is not a dirt ace. Expect he and the #21 GMS Racing Chevrolet team to return to contention soon, especially once the Truck Series playoffs begin.
