The 2017-2018 Formula E season is in the books. How do the sport’s drivers stack up against one another heading into the offseason?
Techeetah’s Jean-Eric Vergne put an exclamation point on his 2017-2018 Formula E championship-winning season by earning his fourth victory of the season in the season’s 12th and final race, the second race of the New York City ePrix.
Heading into the 43-lap race around the 13-turn, 1.21-mile (1.947-kilometer) Brooklyn Street Circuit in Red Hook, Brooklyn, New York, no other driver aside of Vergne had earned three victories so far this season.
With four victories, Vergne ended the season with twice as many victories as the only other four drivers who won at least one race this season, as all four of them won exactly two races. The four drivers who won exactly two races this season were Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler teammates Daniel Abt and Lucas di Grassi, Mahindra Racing’s Felix Rosenqvist and DS Virgin Racing’s Sam Bird.
How did Vergne’s fourth victory of the 2017-2018 Formula E season and the rest of the action from the season’s 12th and final race affect the Formula E Driver Power Rankings? Here are the formulated Formula E Driver Power Rankings and the non-formulated Formula E Driver Power Rankings following the second race of the New York City ePrix.
