Kyle Busch earned his second victory of the 2018 NASCAR Truck Series victory by winning won the 14th race of the 23-race season, the Gander Outdoors 150.

Kyle Busch Motorsports’ Kyle Busch dominated the Gander Outdoors 150 at Pocono Raceway in what was his third race of the 2018 NASCAR Truck Series season. The win is the 51st win of his Truck Series career, which vaults him into a first place tie on the all-time Truck Series wins list with four-time Truck Series champion Ron Hornaday Jr.

Busch, a full-time NASCAR Cup Series driver for Joe Gibbs Racing in the #18 Toyota, led 43 of the race’s 60 laps around the three-turn, 2.5-mile (4.023-kilometer) Pocono Raceway triangle in Long Pond, Pennsylvania in his #51 Toyota en route to his second victory in three Truck Series races this season.

Busch held off second place finisher and Kyle Busch Motorsports teammate Erik Jones, who is also a full-time NASCAR Cup Series driver for Joe Gibbs Racing in the #20 Toyota, by 1.469 seconds to take the win.

Jones was not initially scheduled to drive the #18 Kyle Busch Motorsports in today’s race, as Noah Gragson is the full-time driver of that truck. However, Gragson sat out of the race due to the fact that he was suffering from a stomach bug.

Gragson has already been granted a waiver for missing today’s race, meaning he is still eligible for playoff contention. He is already locked into this season’s playoffs with a victory in the race at Kansas Speedway back in May.

GMS Racing’s Dalton Sargeant was the highest finishing Chevrolet driver of the race. He finished in third place in his #25 Chevrolet. ThorSport Racing’s Grant Enfinger was the highest finished Ford driver of the race. He finished in sixth in his #98 Ford.

The race featured a total of nine lead changes among six drivers. Aside of Busch, five other drivers led at least one lap of the race. Those five drivers were Jones, Sargeant, Stewart Friesen, Todd Gilliland and Myatt Snider. Gilliland won stage one and Friesen won stage two.

The race also featured a total of two caution flag periods for eight laps. Those caution flag periods took place as a result of the endings of stage one and stage two. Just six of the 32 drivers who started the race failed to finish it. Of the 26 drivers who finished it, 17 finished it on the lead lap.
