#10 through #6

#10. While accumulating stage points is useful, finishing four spots below his starting position did not help Cody Coughlin’s playoff hopes. He is 109 points below the playoff cut line. Realistically, he needs a win to earn a playoff berth. Fortunately for him, his fellow GMS Racing teammates Johnny Sauter and Justin Haley have won Truck Series races this season. Coughlin hopes to continue the organization’s winning ways as he chases his first career Truck Series win and playoff berth.. No. 2, GMS Racing. Chevrolet, LW: 10. CODY COUGHLIN

MYATT SNIDER. #9. Pocono Raceway produced nearly identical storylines for both Cody Coughlin and Myatt Snider. Both drivers finished four spots below their qualifying positions, both accumulated stage points and both realistically need their first career Xfinity Series wins to earn playoff berths. Snider is 15 points ahead of Cody Coughlin in the point standings, but he is still 94 points below the playoff cut line. If Snider wins, he would knock out his teammate Matt Crafton, so ThorSport Racing hope that Snider and Crafton will win the final two regular season races. In that scenario, the team could possibly have all four of the cars in the Truck Series playoffs.. No. 13, ThorSport Racing. Ford, LW: 9

#8. Matt Crafton has won a Truck Series race every year since 2013. While there are still nine races remaining in the 2018 season, he has not yet won. A victory would lock him into the playoffs. While he did not earn any stage points in the Gander Outdoors 150, he improved 11 positions from his starting position. If he qualifies better, he’ll be in contention for stage points and victories. Look for him to return to the front as he seeks to continue his winning streak in the Truck Series.. No. 88, ThorSport Racing. Ford, LW: 8. MATT CRAFTON

#7. A week after nearly winning his first race in the 2018 Truck Series season, Grant Enfinger finished in sixth place. While sixth place will help him in his bid to earn his first career Truck Series playoff berth, he lost four positions in the final stage. Once the playoffs begin, there will be more pressure on the playoff drivers to gain every possible position. He did manage to tie for the most points earned among all drivers at Pocono Raceway, though, so look for him to rebound and stay up front throughout the entirety of races.. No. 98, ThorSport Racing. Ford, LW: 7. GRANT ENFINGER

#6. After not winning at Eldora Speedway despite the fact that he was a favorite, Stewart Friesen won the second stage and ultimately came home in fourth place at Pocono Raceway. He is so close to his first career Truck Series victory. Some consolation for him is the fact that he finished first among the drivers who are above the playoff cut line at the moment. Once he wins his first career Truck Series race, he will be an instant championship contender.. No. 52, Halmar Friesen Racing. Chevrolet, LW: 6. STEWART FRIESEN
