#5 through #1

#5. Michael Waltrip said that Stewart Friesen’s dirt racing background would be helpful at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. A seventh place finish is solid, and it moved Friesen into the last spot above the round of 6 cut line. But with only a one-point advantage, he will look to gain as many points in the next race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway before the cutoff race at Talladega Superspeedway.. No. 52, Halmar Friesen Racing. Chevrolet, LW: 5. STEWART FRIESEN

#4. “Win and you’re in” worked quite well for Justin Haley. He called his #24 GMS Racing team the dark horse, but they certainly celebrated the most after the Chevrolet Silverado 250. At the two other round of 8 races, he’ll race for more playoff points, which will certainly be helpful in the round of 6 for Haley as he chases his first career Truck Series championship.. No. 24, GMS Racing. Chevrolet, LW: 6. JUSTIN HALEY

#3. When NASCAR implemented this playoff format, winning in the playoffs gained far more importance. Noah Gragson raced his hardest in the Chevrolet Silverado 250. He won both of the first two stages, led the most laps and challenged his teammate Todd Gilliland for the win. Unfortunately, his attempt to snatch the lead and win failed, and he was relegated to ninth place finish as a result of it. Instead of advancing to the round of 6 via a victory at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, he now is 24 points ahead of the round of 6 cut line. Look for him to continue to fight for wins.. No. 18, Kyle Busch Motorsports. Toyota, LW: 3. NOAH GRAGSON

BRETT MOFFITT. #2. Brett Moffitt flew under the radar in the Chevrolet Silverado 250. He finished the first two stages in sixth and second place, respectively. As a result of the incident between the Kyle Busch Motorsports drivers, he finished in third in his #16 Toyota. He currently sits in third in the playoff standings, and he has a 29-point cushion over the round of 6 cut line. He has been impressive all season long. Expect him to continue to finish well throughout the remainder of the playoffs.. No. 16, Hattori Racing Enterprises. Toyota, LW: 2

JOHNNY SAUTER. #1. For once, Johnny Sauter is not the first driver in the playoff standings, but he still finished in sixth place in the Chevrolet Silverado 250. The broadcasters even remarked that despite his limited road course racing experience, he raced admirably at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. The next round of 8 race is at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, which is a 1.5-mile track, so he will certainly be one to watch as he seeks a round of 6 berth.. No. 21, GMS Racing. Chevrolet, LW: 1
