All six of the scheduled oval races on the 2018 IndyCar schedule are in the books. How do the sport’s full-time oval drivers stack up against one another?

Heading into the sixth and final oval race of the 17-race 2018 IndyCar season, the Bommarito Automotive Group 500, at Gateway Motorsports Park, five different drivers had won the five oval races that had already been contested this year.

The bid for a potential sixth different winner in six oval races this season ended as a result of the fact that it was Team Penske’s Will Power taking the checkered flag ahead of the rest of the field in this 248-lap race around the four-turn, 1.25-mile (2.012-kilometer) Gateway Motorsports Park oval in Madison, Illinois.

Power’s other oval race victory this season came back on Memorial Day Sunday when he won the “Greatest Spectacle in Racing”, the Indianapolis 500, for the first time in his career.

The four drivers who earned exactly one oval race victory this season are Team Penske’s Josef Newgarden, who won the race at ISM Raceway, Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon, who won the race at Texas Motor Speedway, Schmidt Peterson Motorsports’ James Hinchcliffe, who won the race at Iowa Speedway, and Andretti Autosport’s Alexander Rossi, who won the race at Pocono Raceway.

How did the action from the sixth and final oval race of the season affect the IndyCar Driver Oval Power Rankings? Here are the formulated IndyCar Driver Oval Power Rankings and the non-formulated IndyCar Driver Oval Power Rankings following Power’s second oval race victory of 2018.

These are the final sets of formulated IndyCar Driver Oval Power Rankings and non-formulated IndyCar Driver Oval Power Rankings of the 2018 season as a result of the fact that no more oval races remain on this year’s schedule.
