Christopher Bell

After spending two seasons driving the #4 Kyle Busch Motorsports Toyota in the NASCAR Truck Series, Christopher Bell was promoted to drive the #20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota in the Xfinity Series this year.

Joe Gibbs Racing think very highly of the 23-year-old Norman, Oklahoma native, and justifiably so. Through the first 25 races of the 33-race season, he sits in third place in the championship standings with four victories and 24 playoff points.

However, Bell has previously stated that while he does not believe that he needs to spend another season in the Xfinity Series before competing full-time in the Cup Series, he does not believe that there would be any seats open with a Toyota team, and he would prefer to drive for a Toyota team considering the fact that he gives them a lot of credit for getting him to where he is at this point in his career.

But Stewart-Haas Racing recently emerged as a potential suitor for Bell in the Cup Series next year, and it is hard to see the 2017 Truck Series champion rejecting an offer from team co-owner Tony Stewart, who, like Bell, has a dirt racing background, even if it means signing with a Ford team.
