The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series is just days away from kicking off the round of 12, which means that four drivers have already packed up their playoff bags!

Here we are, folks, at round two, better known as the round of 12, in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series playoffs! With the first three playoff races at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Richmond  Raceway and the Charlotte Motor Speedway roval behind us, it’s time to take a look at the first four drivers out.

In this post, I’ll highlight the seasons of the first four playoff drivers who were eliminated.

In case you missed it, we witnessed a wild show in the 2018 Bank of America Roval 400 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway roval. After crazy restarts and a once-in-a-lifetime finish, 12 drivers found themselves locked into playoff contention for another three weeks.

As for the other four, they will pack up their playoff gear and become regular competitors on Sundays. These drivers include Jimmie Johnson, Austin Dillon, Denny Hamlin and Erik Jones.

I’m here to break down where things went wrong and review their seasons. After all, a few of these names are a bit of a surprise. In addition to a review, I’ll discuss what each driver needs to do to finish off 2018 on a high note and prepare for the 2019 season! Enough talking; let’s get walking in the review of the first four out.
