NASCAR Xfinity Series: David Starr talks first Charlotte roval race
By Mark Kristl
Post-race thoughts (continued)
Q: How did your sponsor search go for the roval? When we talked last time, you mentioned you were looking for some sponsors.
A: Long-time good sponsors of mine Extreme Cleaners sponsored our #52 Chevrolet.
NOTE: Jimmy Means Racing tweeted this photo thanking all of the sponsors who sponsored the #52 Chevrolet at the 2018 Drive for the Cure 200 at the Charlotte roval.

Starr also had this to say about the race.
“The roval brought a lot of excitement. It was something new for people in general. I have a lot of friends here in Texas who are not big race fans who watched the roval race. After they watched it, they wanted me to do better. [Laughs] The race is a big hook for people to turn into fans. So for those people, and my sponsors, including Extreme Cleaners, I would have liked to have finish better at the roval. I love all race tracks though. I’m excited to go racing at Dover this weekend. I want to return to Jimmy Means Racing in 2019. Continuity will make this team better. Then we can go out and get better finishes, for our fans and sponsors alike.”
Thank you, David Starr, for the interview. It was interesting how a NASCAR veteran such as yourself viewed racing at the Charlotte Motor Speedway roval for the first time.
I appreciate Starr’s insights into my questions. I wish him good luck throughout the rest of this season. The next Xfinity Series race is set to take place at Dover International Speedway. It is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 6 beginning at 3:00 p.m. ET with live TV coverage provided by NBC Sports Network.
