#10 through #6

Todd Gilliland won the pole for the Texas Roadhouse 200. He opted to pit before the end of the first stage. The net result was a fourth place finish in the second stage. Yet at race end, he finished in 12th. He is 29 points behind ninth place Myatt Snider, so he has work to do if he wants to finish as the top driver outside of the playoffs. Having missed four races this season because he was underage, that would be quite an accomplishment for him.. No. 4, Kyle Busch Motorsports. Toyota, LW: 10. TODD GILLILAND. #10

#9. Myatt Snider nearly stole the show at Martinsville Speedway. He finished in third place and battled eventual winner Johnny Sauter. Races like that will continue to boost his confidence. It is worth noting that he is 83 points ahead of 11th place Austin Hill in the point standings, so he has almost assured himself of a top 10 finish in the point standings. More good races like he had in the Texas Roadhouse 200 will make him a driver to watch next season.. No. 13, ThorSport Racing. Ford, LW: 9. MYATT SNIDER

#8. At least Stewart Friesen was consistent. He started in 11th place and finished 11th in the Texas Roadhouse 200. While he has already been eliminated from the playoffs, winning his first career NASCAR Truck Series race this season would be a nice rebound, and it would definitely aid him as he seeks to climb out of the cellar among this season’s original eight playoff drivers.. No. 52, Halmar Friesen Racing. Chevrolet, LW: 8. STEWART FRIESEN

Ben Rhodes started in fourth place, finished the first stage in fourth and finished in the race in fourth. For a driver who has endured bad luck this season, including in the final round of 8 race at Talladega Superspeedway, he never gives up, which is an admirable trait. Hopefully the last three races of this season will  bring him good luck and something to build upon for next season.. No. 41, ThorSport Racing. Ford, LW: 7. BEN RHODES. #7

#6. Matt Crafton finished in 13th place in the Texas Roadhouse 200 and now sits 10 points below the Championship 4 cut line. Earning stage points in this race saved him from falling behind by a larger deficit. He has won at least one Truck Series race in each season since the 2013 season. At this point, I believe that the only way he will advance to the Championship 4 is if he wins his first race of the 2018 season. Fortunately for him, I’ve been wrong before when predicting his playoff outcome.. No. 88, ThorSport Racing. Ford, LW: 6. MATT CRAFTON
