Top of the class

A+. After starting in fifth place on the grid, Max Verstappen moved past Kimi Raikkonen, Sebastian Vettel and Valtteri Bottas within the first 10 laps of the race and realistically looked like the only threat to Lewis Hamilton. The “Flying Dutchman” comfortably led from laps 20 to 36 before he came into the pits and rejoined just behind Hamilton. However, he went past Hamilton on lap 40 and it seemed like the race was his to win. Unfortunately, he made contact with backmarker Esteban Ocon on lap 44 after lapping him, resulting in a spin. This allowed Hamilton to take the lead. However, Verstappen with his “never give up”  attitude reduced the gap to Hamilton to under one and a half seconds. All in all, he was the best driver on the track and should have been the winner if not for that unfortunate incident. His performance is easily worthy of an A+.. No. 33. Aston Martin Red Bull Racing, Renault. MAX VERSTAPPEN

A+. First things first, Daniel Ricciardo finished the race. After taking a five-place grid penalty due to a turbo replacement, the Aussie started in 11th place on the grid. Red Bull Racing looked to have upped their game for the race, as they were by far the most dominant team. The “Honey Badger” was on the charge, setting up entertaining duels with Sebastian Vettel and Valtteri Bottas on the way. He attacked Kimi Raikkonen toward the end for third place, but he settled for fourth. He was, however, the biggest gainer of the race having gained seven places.. No. 3. Aston Martin Red Bull Racing, Renault. DANIEL RICCIARDO

A. <p style=. No. 44. Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport, Mercedes. LEWIS HAMILTON

A-. The Brazilian Grand Prix was Kimi Raikkonen’s 150th race for Ferrari, and he became only the third driver after Michael Schumacher (179 starts for Ferrari) and David Coulthard (150 starts for McLaren) to have 150 starts for the same constructor. Having started the race in fourth place, the Finn got off to slow start, losing s position to Max Verstappen. Being the faster Ferrari driver in the race, the team asked teammate Sebastian Vettel to allow him to pass. He finished in third. His most impressive performance came toward the end of the race when he defended his podium place against a raging Daniel Ricciardo to score 15 points.. No. 7. Scuderia Ferrari, Ferrari. KIMI RAIKKONEN
