NASCAR Truck Series: Each Championship 4 driver’s Homestead history

How have each of the four drivers who are in the 2018 NASCAR Truck Series Championship 4 performed in past Truck Series races at Homestead-Miami Speedway?
Just one race remains on the 23-race 2018 NASCAR Truck Series schedule. This lone race is the Championship 4 race, the Ford EcoBoost 200, at Homestead-Miami Speedway, and it is set to determine who this year’s champion will be.
GMS Racing teammates Johnny Sauter and Justin Haley as well as Hattori Racing Enterprises’ Brett Moffitt and Kyle Busch Motorsports’ Noah Gragson are the four drivers who are set to compete to win this year’s Truck Series championship in the Ford EcoBoost 200.
Before the 134-lap race around the four-turn, 1.5-mile (2.414-kilometer) Homestead-Miami Speedway oval in Homestead, Florida takes place, let’s take a look at how each of these four drivers have fared at Homestead-Miami Speedway over the course of their respective Truck Series careers.

Johnny Sauter
Over the course of his NASCAR Truck Series career, Johnny Sauter has competed in a total of 11 races at Homestead-Miami Speedway. He has earned one victory, four top five finishes, eight top 10 finishes and 10 top 20 finishes in these 11 races. His lone victory at the track took place in the 2011 season.
Sauter has failed to finished only one of the 11 races in which he has competed at Homestead-Miami Speedway. His average finish in these 11 races is 10.09, which is the second best average finish at the track among the four Championship 4 drivers. He has never started a race at the track from the pole position.
Brett Moffitt
While he has competed in two NASCAR Cup Series races at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Brett Moffitt has never competed in a Truck Series race at the track.
Justin Haley
Over the course of his NASCAR Truck Series career, Justin Haley has competed in one race at Homestead-Miami Speedway. He competed in the race at the track last year and finished it in ninth place, thus making 9.00 his average finish at the track, which is the best average finish at the track among the four Championship 4 drivers. He has never started a race at the track from the pole position.
Noah Gragson
Over the course of his NASCAR Truck Series career, Noah Gragson has competed in a total of two races at Homestead-Miami Speedway. He competed in the races at the track in the 2016 season and the 2017 season. After finishing in 15th place in the race in 2016, he finished it in 18th last year. As a result, his average finish in these two races is 16.50, which is the worst average finish at the track among the four Championship 4 drivers. He has never started a race at the track from the pole position.
