Chase Briscoe is set to return to the NASCAR Xfinity Series in the 2019 season, and he is set to do so as a full-time driver for Stewart-Haas Racing.

Chase Briscoe competed part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series this past season for the first time in his career after driving full-time in the Truck Series for Brad Keselowski Racing behind the wheel of the #29 Ford in the 2017 season.

This past season, Briscoe competed in 17 of the 33 races on the Xfinity Series schedule, and he competed for two different teams. He drove the #60 Roush Fenway Racing Ford in 12 of these 17 races, and he drove the #98 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford in the other five.

After not competing full-time in any NASCAR series this past season, the 23-year-old Mitchell, Indiana native is set to compete full-time in NASCAR once again next year. However, this time, he is set to do so as a full-time Xfinity Series driver.

Briscoe is set to join Stewart-Haas Racing, which had previously been a one-car full-time team, as their second full-time driver in the 2019 season. Nutri Chomps is set to sponsor him in 13 races.

He is set to be a teammate to Cole Custer, who has driven the #00 Ford for the team on a full-time basis since last year.

Briscoe is set to drive the #98 Ford that he drove in five races this past season. This entry is set to be fielded via a partnership involving both Stewart-Haas Racing and Biagi-DenBeste Racing.

Here is what Briscoe had to say about the opportunity to drive the #98 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford on a full-time basis in the 2019 season, according to NASCAR.

"“I got a taste of what Stewart-Haas Racing is capable of in the five races I ran with the team this year. Winning at Charlotte was one of the greatest moments of my career, and I have to thank Nutri Chomps, Ford, Tony Stewart, Gene Haas and Fred Biagi for believing in me and providing this opportunity to race full time.”"

Here is what Stewart-Haas Racing team co-owner Tony Stewart had to say about Briscoe driving for the team in the 2019 season, according to NASCAR.

"“I’ve been paying attention to Chase since he raced sprint cars and I saw how well he transitioned to stock cars…He’s learned a lot in a very short period of time and we’re really looking forward to seeing what he can do when he’s in the same car, working with the same crew, week in and week out."
