#10 through #6
TIMOTHY PETERS
No. 44, Niece Motorsports | Chevrolet
#10
In the first race of a three-race deal, Timothy Peters gained 21 positions to finish in seventh place. Although he was involved in an incident on lap 95, his Niece Motorsports crew fixed his truck to finish the race. If he nabs another top 10 finish in the next race at Atlanta Motor Speedway, his three-race deal with the team may be extended.
BEN RHODES
No. 99, ThorSport Racing | Ford
#9
New number, same team, and another hard-fought effort for Ben Rhodes. As the driver of the #99 ThorSport Racing Ford, he contended for the race lead and ultimately led 11 laps. But he became part of the lap 100 wreck, and his race ended with a 14th place finish. He will look to stay out of trouble and continue racing up front at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
DAVID GILLILAND
No. 17, DGR-Crosley | Toyota
#8
As co-owner of DGR-Crosley, the end of David Gilliland’s NextEra Energy 250 race epitomized his team’s performance. The #17 Toyota erupted in flames on pit road, and Gilliland quickly hopped out of his truck unscathed. Teammate Natalie Decker ended her race prematurely as well when she ran over debris and her #54 Toyota caught on fire. Gilliland hopes that both of the team’s trucks finish the race and avoid flames at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
JOSH REAUME
No. 33, Reaume Brothers Racing | Chevrolet
#7
With all the carnage in the NextEra Energy 250, Josh Reaume wheeled his truck to his career-high finish of sixth place, which is an impressive showing for the second-year Reaume Brothers Racing team, especially given the fact that Reaume started the race in 32nd (last). Suffice to say that he worked hard for his sixth place finish. He hopes to build on that momentum in the next race at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
MATT CRAFTON
No. 88, ThorSport Racing | Ford
#6
Somehow, Matt Crafton’s #88 ThorSport Racing Ford looked fairly clean at the conclusion of the NextEra Energy 250. While he was frustrated at his inability to pass Austin Hill, he certainly showed that he will contend this year. In the next race at Atlanta Motor Speedway, a fast #88 Ford should have him in contention from the wave of the green flag.
