How do the 11 Formula E teams stack up against one another with five races down and eight races remaining on the 2018-2019 schedule?
Through the first four races of the 13-race 2018-2019 Formula E season, four different drivers had been victorious, and these four drivers represent four different teams.
One of these four drivers, Envision Virgin Racing’s Sam Bird, appeared to become the first driver to earn his second victory this season, thus making Envision Virgin Racing the first team to earn their second victory this season as well.
Bird won the season’s fifth race, the Hong Kong ePrix, at Hong Kong Central Harbourfront to deliver Envision Virgin Racing their second victory of the season.

However, Bird won the 36-lap race around the 16-turn, 1.16-mile (1.860-kilometer) Hong Kong Central Harbourfront Circuit temporary street circuit on Central Harbourfront of Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong in somewhat of a controversial fashion.
Bird and DS Techeetah’s Andre Lotterer had bumped and banged following the race’s final restart, and with two seconds remaining before the race’s 45-minute timer hit 0:00, the right rear tire of Lotterer’s car went flat. Bird went on to lead the race’s final two laps to win it.
But following an investigation, Bird was issued a five-second time penalty, dropping him to sixth place. As a result, Venturi became the fifth different team to win a race so far this season, as Edoardo Mortara was promoted to second to first. This victory is the first victory of Mortara’s Formula E career, and it is Venturi’s first ever Formula E victory.
DS Techeetah, meanwhile, have still not yet won a race this season.
