Christopher Bell earned his third victory of the 2019 NASCAR Xfinity Series season by winning the season’s 10th race, the Allied Steel Buildings 200, at Dover International Speedway.

Joe Gibbs Racing’s Christopher Bell entered the 10th race on the 33-race 2019 NASCAR Xfinity Series schedule as one of two full-time drivers who had earned two victories in the season’s first nine races. He exited as the first full-time driver to win three races so far this season.

The other driver who entered this race, the Allied Steel Buildings 200, at Dover International Speedway with two victories this season was Stewart-Haas Racing’s Cole Custer, and he dominated this race after starting from the pole position.

However, it was Bell, who started the race in fourth place in his #20 Toyota, who took the checkered flag by 1.745 seconds in over JR Motorsports’ Justin Allgaier in second place in his #7 Chevrolet to win the 200-lap race around the four-turn, 1.0-mile (1.609-kilometer) high-banked Dover International Speedway oval in Dover, Delaware.

Joe Gibbs Racing’s Kyle Busch, a full-time Cup Series driver who has competed in only four Xfinity Series races so far this season, is the only other driver who has won three Xfinity Series races so far this season.

More from Xfinity Series

Richard Childress Racing’s Tyler Reddick finished the race in third place in his #2 Chevrolet ahead of the race’s top Ford finishers, who were Custer, Stewart-Haas Racing’s Chase Briscoe and Team Penske’s Austin Cindric. They finished in fourth, fifth and sixth in their #00 Ford, #98 Ford and #22 Ford, respectively.

Joe Gibbs Racing’s Brandon Jones, GMS Racing’s John Hunter Nemechek and JR Motorsports teammates Zane Smith and Michael Annett rounded out the top 10 by finishing in seventh, eighth, ninth and 10th place in their #19 Toyota, #23 Chevrolet, #8 Chevrolet and #1 Chevrolet, respectively.

Chevrolet drivers rounded out the rest of the top 14 as well, as RSS Racing’s Ryan Sieg, JD Motorsports’ Ross Chastain, Brandonbilt Motorsports’ Brandon Brown and Richard Childress Racing’s Kaz Grala finished in 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th place in their #39 Chevrolet, #4 Chevrolet, and #86 Chevrolet and #21 Chevrolet, respectively.

By winning this race, Bell also collected the $100,000 Dash 4 Cash Prize. The other three drivers who were eligible to win this prize by finishing as the highest of the four Dash 4 Cash-eligible drivers in this race were Reddick, Briscoe and SS-Green Light Racing’s Gray Gaulding. Gaulding finished in 20th place in his #08 Chevrolet, three laps off the lead lap.

The race, which was a relatively tame race by many standards, featured only three lead changes among three drivers. Aside of Bell, who led 44 laps, two drivers led at least one lap of the race. One of those drivers, Allgaier, led only one lap. The other, Custer, dominated the race by leading 155 laps. Custer won stage one and stage two.

The race featured a total of five caution flag periods, including three that took place as a result of on-track incidents and the usual two that took place as a result of the endings of stages one and two. Of the 38 drivers who started the race, 33 finished it. Of the 33 drivers who finished the race, 13 finished it on the lead lap.
