Formula E: Sebastien Buemi takes pole for 2019 Berlin ePrix

Sebastien Buemi took his second pole position of the 2018-2019 Formula E season for the season’s 10th race, the Berlin ePrix, at Tempelhof Airport Street Circuit.

Nissan e.dams’ Sebastien Buemi took the pole position for the 10th of 13 races on the 2018-2019 Formula E schedule, the Berlin ePrix, at Tempelhof Airport Street Circuit. This pole position is his second pole position of the season, as he also took the pole position for the season’s third race, the Santiago ePrix, at Parque O’Higgins Circuit.

Buemi took the pole position for this 45-minute race around the 10-turn, 1.398-mile (2.250-kilometer) Tempelhof Airport Street Circuit temporary street circuit in Berlin, Germany by recording a top lap time of 67.295 seconds (87.840 miles per hour) in his #23 Spark-Nissan during the Super Pole qualifying session for the race.

HWA Racelab’s Stoffel Vandoorne qualified in second place for this race in his #5 Spark-Venturi and is set to start alongside Buemi on the front row.

Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler’s Lucas di Grassi, HWA Racelab’s Gary Paffett and Panasonic Jaguar Racing’s Alex Lynn are set to round out the top five on the starting grid after qualifying in third, fourth and fifth place in their #11 Spark-Audi, #17 Spark-Venturi and #3 Spark Jaguar, respectively.

BMW i Andretti Motorsport’s Alexander Sims was the slowest of the six drivers who advanced to the Super Pole qualifying session for this race. He qualified in sixth place in his #27 Spark-BMW.

Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler’s Daniel Abt, BMW i Andretti Motorsport’s Antonio Felix da Costa, DS Techeetah’s Jean-Eric Vergne and Mahindra Racing’s Jerome d’Ambrosio are set to round out the top 10 on the starting grid for this race after qualifying in seventh, eighth, ninth and 10th place in their #66 Spark-Audi, #28 Spark-BMW, #25 Spark-DS Automobiles and #64 Spark-Mahindra, respectively.
