With both races of the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix doubleheader in the books, how do the IndyCar Driver Power Rankings look?

Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon earned his first victory of the 17-race 2019 IndyCar season by winning the season’s eighth race, Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix Race 2, at the Raceway on Belle Isle.

Dixon’s victory in this 70-lap race around the 14-turn, 2.35-mile (3.782-kilometer) Raceway on Belle Isle temporary street circuit on the streets of Belle Isle in Detroit, Michigan made him the sixth different driver to win a race this season.

Dixon is now tied with Harding Steinbrenner Racing rookie Colton Herta, Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing’s Takuma Sato and Andretti Autosport’s Alexander Rossi for third place on the wins list behind Team Penske teammates Josef Newgarden and Simon Pagenaud, who have each earned two victories so far this season.

By winning this race, Dixon became the first driver to add his name to this wins list since Pagenaud won the season’s fifth race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course.

Pagenaud then won the 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway oval and Newgarden then won Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix Race 1 to secure his second victory of the season, as he also won the season opener on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida.
