With the 2019 IndyCar season more than halfway over following the DXC Technology 600 at Texas Motor Speedway, how do the IndyCar Driver Power Rankings look?

For the first time in his IndyCar career, Team Penske’s Josef Newgarden drove to victory lane at Texas Motor Speedway, as he won the 2019 season’s ninth race, the DXC Technology 600. This victory was only his second top 10 finish at Texas Motor Speedway in eight attempts.

Newgarden’s victory in the 248-lap race around the four-turn, 1.44-mile (2.317-kilometer) high-banked Texas Motor Speedway oval in Fort Worth, Texas made him the first driver to win three races this season.

Newgarden, who opened up the season by winning the race on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida, had previously been tied with teammate Simon Pagenaud atop the wins list after winning the first race on the Raceway on Belle Isle last Saturday.

Pagenaud entered that race having won two consecutive races, both at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. He won the race on the track’s road course as well as the 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500 on the track’s oval.

With the action from the high banks of Texas Motor Speedway in the books and the 2019 season officially more than halfway complete, how do the IndyCar Driver Power Rankings look? Here are the non-formulated IndyCar Driver Power Rankings following Newgarden’s series-high third victory of the season.

NOTE: Max Chilton has been removed from both the formulated IndyCar Driver Power Rankings and the non-formulated IndyCar Driver Power Rankings as a result of the fact that he is no longer a full-time driver.
