By Asher Fair
A.J. Allmendinger is set to drive for Kaulig Racing in four races throughout the remainder of the 2019 NASCAR Xfinity Series season.
Back in March, it was confirmed that A.J. Allmendinger would drive for Kaulig Racing on a part-time basis throughout the 2019 NASCAR Xfinity Series season, but it was not revealed in which races or in how many races he would compete.
Now it has been confirmed that the 37-year-old Los Gatos, California native is set to compete in four races throughout the remainder of the 33-race 2019 season.
Allmendinger is set to compete in the races at Daytona International Speedway, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Road America and the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval. He is set to drive the #10 Chevrolet in these four races.
These four races are the season’s 16th, 21st, 23rd and 28th races and are scheduled to take place on Friday, July 5, Saturday, August 10, Saturday, August 24 and Saturday, September 28, respectively.
Here is what Allmendinger had to say about the opportunity to drive for Kaulig Racing in these four races, according to NBC Sports.
"“It’s going to be a blast to get back behind the wheel and compete for race wins. I can’t thank Matt Kaulig enough for this opportunity, and to be able to drive at some of my favorite tracks. Kaulig Racing and the No. 10 team have had a great season so far and I’m looking forward to helping them build on their success.”"

He has recorded three top 10 finishes, and all three of these top 10 finishes are top two finishes, including two wins. He has recorded these three top two finishes in each of his last three starts. Last season, he drove in one race, the race at Watkins Glen International, for GMS Racing and finished in second place. He had not competed in an Xfinity Series race since he won the races at Road America and Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in the 2013 season driving for Team Penske.
