Jean-Eric Vergne took the pole position for the Swiss ePrix at Bern Street Circuit, the 11th of 13 races on the 2018-2019 Formula E schedule.

DS Techeetah’s Jean-Eric Vergne took his first pole position of the 2018-2019 Formula E season by taking the pole position for the 13-race season’s 11th race, the Swiss ePrix, at Bern Street Circuit.

In doing so, he become the eighth different polesitter so far this season. While he started from the pole position in the season’s ninth race, the Monaco ePrix, he did so as a result of a grid penalty that was issued to Nissan e.dams’ Oliver Rowland, who originally qualified on the pole.

Vergne, one of two drivers who has won two races already this season and the leader of the driver standings, took the pole for this 45-minute race around the 14-turn, 1.657-mile (2.667-kilometer) Bern Street Circuit temporary street circuit in Bern, Switzerland by recording a top lap time of 78.813 seconds (75.688 miles per hour) in the Super Pole qualifying session in his #25 Spark-DS Automobiles.
