Ross Chastain became the first NASCAR Truck Series driver to win three races in the 2019 season by winning the Gander RV 150 at Pocono Raceway.

Niece Motorsports’ Ross Chastain earned his third victory of the 23-race 2019 NASCAR Truck Series season in dominant fashion at Pocono Raceway, as he took the checkered flag in the Gander RV 150, the 14th race of the season. Only Cup Series regular Kyle Busch, who won all five of his Truck Series races this year, has more victories to his name this year.

This race is the fourth Truck Series race that the 26-year-old Alva, Florida native has won this season, but his dominant win at Iowa Speedway was stripped from him when his truck failed post-race inspection.

This victory is the second victory that counts toward his playoff total, as he won the race at Kansas Speedway earlier this season before he declared for Truck Series points after eight of the regular season’s 16 races. He also won the race at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway.

Kyle Busch Motorsports teammates Harrison Burton and Christian Eckes finished in third and fourth place in their #18 Toyota and #51 Toyota, respectively. GMS Racing’s Brett Moffitt finished in fifth in his #24 Chevrolet.

ThorSport Racing’s Matt Crafton was the highest finishing Ford driver of this race. He finished in sixth place in his #88 Ford. Kyle Busch Motorsports’ Todd Gilliland finished in seventh in his #4 Toyota, giving the team three drivers in the top seven.

ThorSport Racing teammates Johnny Sauter, Ben Rhodes and Grant Enfinger rounded out the top 10 by finishing in eighth, ninth and 10th place in their #13 Ford, #99 Ford and #98 Ford, respectively.

This race featured only two lead changes among two drivers. Chastain led 54 laps while Burton led the other six. Chastain won stage one while Burton won stage two. Race polesitter Austin Hill of Hattori Racing Enterprises didn’t lead any laps and was forced to retire from the race on lap 22 with a mechanical issue. He finished in 30th place in his #16 Toyota.

The race also featured only two incident-related caution flag periods in addition to the two planned caution flag periods for the endings of stages one and two. A total of 32 drivers entered the race, and 25 finished it. Of these 25 drivers, 18 finished on the lead lap.
