With three races to go in the 2019 Formula 1 season and Lewis Hamilton having a stranglehold on the world championship, how do the Formula 1 Driver Power Rankings look?
Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport’s Lewis Hamilton inched closer to his sixth career Formula 1 world championship with his 10th victory of the 2019 season in the 21-race season’s 18th race, the Mexican Grand Prix, at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.
No other driver has won more than three races this year.
How did Hamilton’s victory in this 71-lap race around the 17-turn, 2.674-mile (4.303-kilometer) Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez road course in Mexico City, Mexico affect the Formula 1 Power Rankings?
These Formula 1 Driver Power Rankings were calculated using a formula, which you can see here. But before they are revealed, take a look below at some of the highlights of this edition of these rankings.

Formula 1 Driver Power Rankings Analysis
This edition of the formulated Formula 1 Driver Power Rankings did not feature much movement, as the top eight drivers and the bottom five drivers held station. In total, the positions of only six of the 20 drivers changed.
Only two drivers moved more than one position, and one of those drivers, the driver who moved up two positions, was hometown hero Sergio Perez of SportPesa Racing Point. The 29-year-old Mexican finished in seventh place as the “best of the rest” behind the six Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull Racing drivers, tying his best finish in five attempts in his home race.
Another driver moved down two positions despite the fact that he scored points for the first time in almost two months while two other drivers moved up one position and two more moved down one position.
