The 2019 NASCAR Cup Series season is in the books, and the 2020 season is scheduled to begin soon. How do the drivers slated to compete full-time in the 2020 season rank against one another?

Another NASCAR Cup Series season is in the books, bringing the 2010s decade of competition to an end, and another one is nearing its beginning. The most recent season ended in a way that no season had ended since 2007: with a driver becoming a two-time champion.

Kyle Busch, who won the 2015 championship by winning the Championship 4 season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway to end a lengthy win drought, added to his title collection with his second title, winning the 2019 championship in a very similar fashion.

Of the 33 drivers who competed on a full-time basis in the 2019 season, 26 are set to return in the 2020 season, with 23 set to drive for the same teams and three set to drive for different teams.

Meanwhile, 10 others, including six rookies, are set to join the series full-time, with all six rookies set to do so as the replacements for other drivers and the other four drivers set to do so in rides that were previously not occupied by full-time drivers.
