NASCAR: 5 drivers who could get their first career wins in 2020
Tyler Reddick
Two-time reigning NASCAR Xfinity Series champion Tyler Reddick is set to pilot the #8 Chevrolet for Richard Childress Racing in the 2020 Cup Series season. He is slated to replace 2019 Rookie of the Year and fellow former Richard Childress Racing Xfinity Series driver Daniel Hemric.
Unlike Christopher Bell, Reddick does have two Cup Series starts under his belt. He competed in last year’s Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway, where he finished in 27th place after a late wreck, and he then competed in the May race at Kansas Speedway. In his intermediate track Cup Series debut, he finished in ninth, so he should be more than ready for the Cup Series.
In his two Xfinity Series championship seasons, Reddick collected eight wins in 66 starts. Even though he does not have nearly the amount of wins that Bell has, he has the championships to show for his talent and is one of the best at the end of races.
Reddick will be aggressive and use every inch of the track. He will even rough some people up to get wins. Aggressive driving has become notorious for winning races nowadays, so he should fit in just fine at the Cup level.
A couple of tracks at which to watch Reddick this season are Homestead-Miami Speedway and Las Vegas Motor Speedway. He dominated at those tracks in the Xfinity Series, and he is bound to be competitive there in the Cup Series as well.
