Timmy Hill

There’s no doubt that Timmy Hill has been by far the biggest winner of the introduction of the eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series thus far.

After placing third with his modest wheel and pedal setup (compared to Denny Hamlin’s, at least) at virtual Homestead-Miami Speedway behind Hamlin and Dale Earnhardt Jr., he won the race at virtual Texas Motor Speedway.

Hill’s success in iRacing is nothing new. His win at virtual Texas Motor Speedway over Ryan Preece was his 674th career iRacing victory, and at one point, he was the number one iRacer in the world.

But without this virtual racing series, Hill would be the name you see running in 34th or 35th place every Sunday, and his #66 MBM Motorsports machine would be seen only when the leaders come around to lap him every few minutes.

Hill has been competing in the Cup Series since 2012, and he has taken advantage of the opportunities he has had. Unfortunately for him, none of them have come at a top-tier organization.

In 96 starts competing for MBM Motorsports, Rick Ware Racing, NEMCO Motorsports, FAS Lane Racing, Circle Sport, Identity Ventures Racing, Hillman Racing, Team Xtreme Racing, Premium Motorsports and Spire Motorsports, his average finish is 35.5, and he has just one top 20 finish.

Thanks to the eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series, for the first time in his career, he is in equal “equipment” compared to the rest of the field. Never before had he been able to showcase his talent without being overshadowed by other drivers in other series. His win at virtual Texas Motor Speedway was by far the most significant, with all due respect to the other 673.
