Kyle Busch has cleared up the false rumor going around about him following his NASCAR Truck Series defeat to Chase Elliott.

Chase Elliott delivered Kyle Busch his first NASCAR Truck Series defeat in more than two years by holding him off in the North Carolina Education Lottery 200 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Charlotte Motor Speedway was ironically the site of Busch’s most recent defeat in 2018, when he finished in second place behind Johnny Sauter.

Busch had been on a seven-race Truck Series winning streak going back to July of 2018 at Pocono Raceway, as he won all five of his starts last season and his first this season at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Elliott, who had not competed in a Truck Series race since April of 2017 at Martinsville Speedway, which he also won, entered tonight’s race because of the $100,000 bounty placed on Busch by Kevin Harvick and Marcus Lemonis for any full-time Cup Series driver who could drop down to NASCAR’s third highest level of competition and defeat Busch.

Driving the #24 Chevrolet for GMS Racing, the 24-year-old Dawsonville, Georgia native held off Busch in his #51 Kyle Busch Motorsports Toyota by 0.627 seconds to win this 134-lap race around the four-turn, 1.5-mile (2.414-kilometer) oval in Concord, North Carolina, and he was interviewed after the race.

Additionally, he imitated Busch’s winning bow.

Fox Sports 1 aired Elliott’s interview.

They aired Busch walking away from his truck.

This ignited rumors about Busch being a sore sport and not willing to discuss his defeat, which took place in what was just the first Truck Series race since the bounty was placed on him and he had any real competition from fellow Cup Series drivers.

He wants to clear that up.

Both drivers are set to be back in action tomorrow evening in the Cup Series race at the same venue. This race, the Alsco Uniforms 500, is set to be aired live on Fox Sports 1 beginning at 8:00 p.m. ET.
