NASCAR Truck Series: Is the Kyle Busch bounty still on?
By Asher Fair
Even with 95 days between NASCAR Truck Series races, the bounty on Kyle Busch set by Kevin Harvick and Marcus Lemonis is still on.
After Kyle Busch won his seventh consecutive NASCAR Truck Series race going back to July of 2018 on Friday, February 21 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Kevin Harvick placed a $50,000 bounty on Busch for any full-time Cup Series driver who could beat him in any of his remaining four starts this season.
Truck Series title sponsor Gander Outdoors CEO Marcus Lemonis added $50,000 to that bounty, and several drivers took him up on it.
Little did anybody know at the time that this race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway would be the final Truck Series race over the next 95 days, as the coronavirus pandemic caused the next six races to be postponed.

The sixth of these six races is set to be the first race back, and it is scheduled to take place this evening as opposed to its originally scheduled date of Friday, May 15.
That race, the North Carolina Education Lottery 200, is set to take place at Charlotte Motor Speedway beginning at 8:00 p.m. ET.
Busch is set to compete in this race, just like he had been originally, as are a few full-time Cup Series drivers. Set to compete in tonight’s race against Busch are Chase Elliott, Brennan Poole and John Hunter Nemechek.
But is the bounty still on?
According to Harvick and Lemonis, the answer to that is yes, with a small modification: the $100,000 will go to a COVID-19 relief effort in the name of the driver who beats Busch.
Tune in to Fox Sports 1 at 8:00 p.m. ET this evening for the live broadcast of the North Carolina Education Lottery 200 from Charlotte Motor Speedway to see if Kyle Busch can finally be beaten.
