Where do things stand for the NASCAR Truck Series as far as the standings and the playoff picture are concerned with racing slated to return?

When the 2020 NASCAR season was suspended indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic back in mid-March, the Truck Series hadn’t been in action for several weekends to begin with. The most recent race was the second race of the year at Las Vegas Motor Speedway back on Friday, February 21.

The series had been slated to get back into action at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Saturday, March 14, but the season was suspended indefinitely the day prior.

The season is scheduled to return with the North Carolina Education Lottery 200 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Tuesday, May 26, which will mean that 95 days will have passed between race two and race three.

This race is one of seven that NASCAR has planned across the Cup Series, Xfinity Series and Truck Series during an 11-day span from Sunday, May 17 to Wednesday, May 27 to get back into action amid the pandemic, albeit without fans in the grandstands.

Beyond this 11-day span, the schedule is known only through Sunday, June 21, but NASCAR is expected to reveal more updates in the very near future.

Since it will have been more than three months and (more than 13 and a half weeks) since there was last a Truck Series race when the trucks see the green flag once more, let’s take a look at where things stand heading into this Tuesday night’s 134-lap race around the four-turn, 1.5-mile (2.414-kilometer) oval in Concord, North Carolina.
