Chase Elliott has revealed where the NASCAR Truck Series bounty money is going after defeating Kyle Busch at Charlotte Motor Speedway last week.

After Kyle Busch won his seventh consecutive NASCAR Truck Series race dating back to July of 2018 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Friday, February 21, Kevin Harvick and Marcus Lemonis each placed a $50,000 bounty on him for any full-time Cup Series driver who could beat him in a Truck Series race.

The Truck Series ended up not returning to action for more than three months due to the coronavirus pandemic, but when it did, Chase Elliott was ready to challenge the two-time Cup Series champion in the first of his four remaining Truck Series starts this season.

And in the first official bounty race at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Elliott was victorious behind the wheel of his #24 GMS Racing Chevrolet. Busch drove his #51 Kyle Busch Motorsports Toyota to a runner-up finish, his first in over two years.

As a result, Elliott claimed the $100,000 bounty.

Due to the circumstances that COVID-19 has presented, that money was to go to charity. Now Elliott has revealed where that money is going. $50,000 is set to go to Feed the Children’s COVID-19 response while $25,000 is set to go to the Red Cross.

The other $25,000 is set to go to the Bundle of Joy Fund, which was started by Kyle and his wife Samantha to help couples who deal with infertility issues. Had nobody been able to claim the bounty, Busch would have secured that $100,000 for this charity, and he made note of his extreme disappointment that he couldn’t claim it after Elliott beat him.

Elliott gave major credit to Harvick and Lemonis for making it possible.

And, of course, his donation to Busch shows just how important Busch was throughout the whole process as well.
