Erik Jones 2021 landing spots: Go Fas Racing

Let’s get back to the Stewart-Haas Racing theme for a second here. Go Fas Racing formed a technical alliance with the four-car Ford team ahead of the 2020 season, but they stuck with Corey LaJoie as their driver of the #32 Ford.

LaJoie returned to the team despite the fact that he had not been previously tied to Stewart-Haas Racing. It had been rumored that Stewart-Haas Racing Xfinity Series driver Cole Custer would be promoted to that seat ahead of the 2020 season, but he ended up going directly to the Cup Series team as the replacement for Daniel Suarez.

Now, however, we know that LaJoie won’t be back behind the wheel of the #32 Ford in 2021.

We all know that Chase Briscoe makes sense here if he isn’t promoted from Stewart-Haas Racing’s Xfinity Series team to their Cup Series team.

But what if Briscoe replaces Bowyer? The #32 Ford is still open, and it could give Erik Jones a chance to land on his feet in a situation that isn’t all that bad, given the fact that he would be well-positioned to replace Aric Almirola behind the wheel of the #10 Ford at some point within the next few years.
