JR Motorsports have now officially confirmed that all three of their full-time drivers from the 2020 NASCAR Xfinity Series season are set to return in the 2021 season.
After re-signing both Noah Gragson and Justin Allgaier, the team have confirmed that Michael Annett is set to be back for a fifth season with the team next year, and he is set to return with longtime partner Pilot Flying J on board his #1 Chevrolet.
The 34-year-old Des Moines, Iowa native is set to enter his third season behind the wheel of the #1 Chevrolet after spending two seasons driving the #5 Chevrolet.
The 2021 season is slated to be his 10th season of full-time competition in the Xfinity Series, as he also competed full-time from 2009 to 2013 before spending the next three years in the Cup Series.
Here is what Annett had to say about the opportunity to return to the team in 2021, according to a release.
"“Returning to JR Motorsports with Pilot Flying J means a lot to me. We’ve been able to grow this program here, with Travis Mack and the team, and I know that more race wins and playoff appearances are in the future. Pilot Flying J has been a great partner for the past 13 seasons and I am looking forward to being here with Dale, Kelley and the JR Motorsports family.”"
Here is what JR Motorsports general manager Kelley Earnhardt Miller had to add.

Here is what Pilot Flying J president Ken Parent had to say.
"“Pilot Flying J is excited to continue our long-standing relationship with Michael and JRM. We look forward to seeing where Michael will finish this year and we wish him the best of luck and success in the 2021 season.”"
