Drivers moving on after 2020: Clint Bowyer

Unlike Matt Kenseth, Clint Bowyer has officially confirmed that he will not be returning to full-time NASCAR Cup Series competition following a 15-year career as a full-time driver that was capped off with a four-year stint behind the wheel of the #14 Ford for Stewart-Haas Racing.

For the fifth consecutive season, Stewart-Haas Racing have changed their four-car lineup heading into a new year. Chase Briscoe has been promoted from their Xfinity Series team following a nine-win season to drive the #14 Ford beginning in 2021, while Bowyer is set to make the long-rumored move to the Fox broadcast booth for Cup Series races starting this season as well.

Bowyer wrapped up his driving career having competed in 540 consecutive races going back to his debut as a full-time driver with Richard Childress Racing in 2006.

His final four-year stint with Stewart-Haas Racing saw him win two races in 2018 to end a win drought that had lasted since 2012, when he competed for Michael Waltrip Racing and finished in a career-high second place finish in the championship standings behind champion Brad Keselowski.

He finished his career with 10 wins, the most recent of which coming at Michigan International Speedway in a rain-shortened race in June of 2018.
