NASCAR: 5 possible replacements for Kurt Busch in 2022

Possible 2022 Chip Ganassi Racing drivers: No. 3 – Ryan Newman
This is where the desire for winners could spark a major interest at Chip Ganassi Racing. Ryan Newman has seen victory lane far more than Matt DiBenedetto and Aric Almirola, racking up 18 wins in his NASCAR Cup Series career thus far, including a Daytona 500 win in 2008 and a Brickyard 400 win in 2013.
Like DiBenedetto and Almirola, Newman himself is in a contract year and it seems that Roush Fenway Racing have already picked his replacement behind the wheel of the #6 Ford in Brad Keselowski.
But that doesn’t mean Newman is done. Even if he leaves Roush Fenway Racing, Newman has stated that he wants to continue racing and has even said that he hasn’t accomplished what he wants to. Like any driver, Newman wants to contend for wins, and most importantly, a championship.
While there’s a possibility that Roush Fenway Racing could keep him on board and field a third car, something team owner Jack Roush hasn’t done since 2016 before the team and Greg Biffle parted ways, a new team and a fresh start to accomplish what he wants to accomplish could be an ideal situation for the 43-year-old South Bend, Indiana native.
